A/N: I don't even think anyone reads this. I have no reviews for it. Oh well. I would like it if someone reviewed, though.

"I see nothing in your eyes

And the more I see,

The less I like"

Death could not comprehend these humans. They let these feelings get in the way of their actions. How could they do that?

The few emotions that Death had, he understood.

He liked killing humans.

He especially enjoyed the slow deaths.

"Is it over yet?

In my head!"

Like the woman now, slowly dying. She reached out to clutch at his dark robes. The dying and dead could see Death, it was only natural that they should see the one who would guard their souls for eternity.

"I know nothing of your kind

and I won't reveal your evil mind"

Death smirked. Her life was fading as she screamed and screamed at him to save her.

"Is it over yet?

I can't win."

She writhed in her own puddle of blood. Soon she would lose consciousness; it would be less fun for Death to watch.

"So sacrifice yourself

and let me have what's left.

I know that I can find

the fire in your eyes."

She was one of the weak humans. They couldn't even find enough will to live. Not even enough to do anything. Had these pathetic creatures become so weak they would just submit?

"I'm going all the way,

get away,

please."

That was, almost all.

She should be dead.

She should have joined death years ago. But had she? No. She'd fought with nail and tooth, refusing Death's firm grip. She'd shaken his hand off hers as he attempted to lead her into the afterlife. And she'd run, leaving a trail of blood behind her.

She'd faced Death, and survived.

"You take the breath reight out of me

you left a hole where my heart should be.

You gotta fight just to make it through

'Cause I will be the death of you."

Death growled at her form. He didn't like to lose. It wasn't what he did. He won.

"This will all be over soon.

Pour salt into the open wound"

He would give her one of the most paiful deaths possible. Yes. This girl should be dead. She shouldn't have such life left in her eyes, cheeks. Her family should be sobbing, her body should be rotting in the ground.

"Is it over yet?

Let me in."

Soon. Soon would her life seep from her bones.

She turned her head towards Death.

The smile slid off of her face.

She had seen the cloaked menace.

I'm waiting, I'm praying, realize,

Start hating"

She should be dead.

"'Cause I will be the death of you."

A/N: The song was Breath, by Breaking Benjamin.
