[Drabble] Ru x Ayako [Romance/Angst]

"I'm so sorry big brother," Because in the end, Madoka really had no idea what to say. It didn't fix anything. Words couldn't. But at least someone told him…at long last.

Rikago put his hands on the newly crowned Empresses shoulders, leading her out of the room. His best friend, no matter how traitorous he was, always knew what went on in his head.

"You idiot," his voice was barely a whisper, "You goddamn idiot."

Ru Tao did not need pity. He did not need condolences. He needed more work. And sake, sake was always a good idea.

"You need to sleep." The red-haired prince didn't bother to look up.

"Get lost," He hissed into his paper. Signing it once again, having no idea what it was even about.

Masato Ran shrugged walking off his signed documents in hand. 'I'll need to burn these later…' He thought to himself, disconcerted, 'What a waste.'

He stopped for a few moments, finally outside. "He has no idea what he's doing." He spoke up after a while.

"I know," the black haired girl bit her lip.

He sighed again; the Royal family was so tedious. "Don't you have work?" And he walked off again.

'I still remember the first time we met.'

"Be pleasant-" Her father began, for the umpteenth time.

"And humble," she nodded bored. Why she even needed to meet the stupid prince was beyond her. She had better things to do with her time. Like studying how to be an official!

He looked like he was going to scold her, before the double doors flung open, revealing a red haired boy; a few years older than her.

"Your majesty-!" It looked like her father was going to start gushing. Ayako bit back the urge to roll her eyes. But the prince surprised her by raising his hand and shutting her father up. She almost laughed at her old man's expression. Almost.

"Ru Tao, pleased to meet you." His voice was smooth and confident.

She had to match it. "Ayako Hirai, the pleasure is all mine majesty."

And all the stupid things we did.

The times you worried about me…when I broke my arms.

When we faked our parent's signature and got screamed at by the tutors.

The day we replaced the tea with alcohol.

We got in even more trouble for that.

"You were always more trouble than your worth," He mumbled half-heartedly, his gaze fixed to the Sakura trees. "But wait for me."

'Because I'll be there soon…Ayako.'

"You're going to be late!" Her mother shrieked at her in worry and the raven haired girl rolled her eyes. Stuffing an apple in her mouth she ran off, waving her good-bye. She wondered how she was so late, normally she would have been there a good half-hour before school started.

Man, was she ever going to get screamed at.

Not watching where she was going she fell back from the impact of someone against her. She almost began apologizing profusely.

She caught sight of his red hair and such expressive eyes. Pausing, she stared at him for a moment longer.

"Is there something on my face?" He asked curiously.

"N-no, not at all! It's just your so attractive I was just-" She caught herself immediately.

'Man, I'm so stupid!'

Much to her surprise though, he started laughing. "That was the first time I've heard that answer, and believe me I have to ask that question a lot."

She didn't doubt it. "Oh!" She said, realizing she was being rude, "My names Ayako, Ayako Kurashima. Nice to meet you." She stuck out her hand.

He took her hand and brought it to his lips, making the girl's face turn so red it would have put a tomato to shame. "Ru Mizuki, the pleasures all mine."

I've found you, at last.

A/N: I kind of found this while I was cleaning out my computer. I'm surprised I forgot all about it. I think I may have lost my touch after not writing for so long. Sorry~! Also, in case it isn't clear, the last part is when they were reborn. Strange I know, but please bare with me :)
