falling for you was
effortless—
(like clouds drifting
across a summer sky;
children running through
a grassy field;
two lovers on a park bench,
holding hands and
smiling)
—losing you was
even easier.
ehhhhhh. not my bestest ever.
this creative slump really sucks.the phrase “two lovers on a park bench” was stolen from this song that my band director is obsessed with. i think it’s from some musical called “einstein on the beach.”
and this entire poem pretty much came out because i was listening to "over my head" by the fray too much. lol.
