I should thank you.
Because I believe in always
staying positive.

In always trying to
find a reason to smile.

And I've found it.
I've found my reason to
never regret you.

I won't let you make me
feel anything.

But like I said,
I should thank you for all the
poetry I'm creating.

You called it trusty melancholy,
the lifeblood of my work.
And maybe it is.

And maybe I like the poetry I'm writing now
more than I ever loved you.
