I stroll through the world, a field of forgotten flowers
A mountain the distance, it begs to be scaled
Still I look at you, watching with excitement
Lips a-quiver, heart a-flutter
I wonder where all the time has gone
I wonder why the wind has ceased to blow
I look up at the sky, counting faces in the clouds
Looking to the stars, thinking of the hereafter
I smile at the thought of you
Wondering where you could be
Have you gone like the flowers?
No love, your life loses meaning
Your beauty fades as those around stop recognizing it
Like a memory you fade
Until nothing is left
But the stem
Yet here I am, amidst this field of forgotten flowers
Am I too, looking for love?
Or am I just a lonely boy, wandering the world?
