The poem says it all... R&R! :)

I'm slowly coming out of this dry spell... this was written 6/09.

People Come and Go

“People come and go,”

That’s my new life motto!

It is so true.

Just a week ago

This boy meant the world to me,

But with one simple story

I decided he didn’t deserve me.

I decided he had enough of me

Because I lost my trust in him

And I could never really rely on him.

After a couple good cries

It felt like he was

Never a part of my life.

I started dreaming of somebody new-

Well, not completely new,

But at least I know it’s someone

Whose feelings would always be true.

Though, we tried it out before,

But we kind of gave up.

Maybe now that there is no “high school” pressure

We could work it out together.

I promise I won’t hold my breath,

For I know that in my life-

People come and go.
