This was written back in March when some school voting was going on. Of course, the high school idiots (including myself) were playing dirty. I and a couple others had the decency to fess up, when some didn't. It kind of pissed us off after we had tried our hardest to put things together.

This poem isn't the greatest. I wrote while I was in a dry a spell... which lasted quite some time. (3/09) R&R! :)

Nice Guys

Why is it that the nice guy

Always finishes last?

He plays by the rules,

And even admits when he falls.

He does not necessarily cheat

Since he admits to all.

But still he’s looked down on

Because of that silly mistake.

But the other man is the true fake.

The one that cheats, lies, and steals

Puts on the face the face of a martyr

And makes the nice guy

Seem like the fake.

Since he is a nice guy,

He won’t do much

To get everybody out of his face.

He would never sink down to

The other’s level to retaliate.

Hence, the nice guy finishes last.
