I felt his breath
on my ear.
Its nothing like death
not even near.

His voice sounded like a smile
or the sun on a dark day.
My heart beat like I ran a mile
I didn't know just what to say.

He said "Here's my number
don't be afraid to call"
Then I thought 'God could I get any dumber'
as I walked into a wall.

As I lay on the ground
he knelt down beside me.
I couldn't hear a sound,
Oh, please don't let it be.

But just like prince charming,
a gentle kiss he placed upon my lips.
It was anything but harming,
in fact my heart skips.

"Shh, just rest,
and close your eyes."
And just as you guessed,
I did what he advise.

I dozed off to sleep,
but when I awoke,
I began to weep.

As I realized I was dreaming, my heart broke.
