ONCE UPON A TIME…
Whelp, here it is. A story. This is one of my oldest, longest running stories. It is prone to frequent hiatuses and slow updates.
There are a few warnings that I believe I should address before we begin…
Violence: Yes, it's a swords 'n sorcery type thing, so stuff gets bloody, people lose eyes. Etc, etc.
Homosexuality: Two of the characters are lesbian. Get used to it, 'cause I'm not changing them for you.
Religion: A religion exists in this story, and it's beliefs may clash horribly with yours, so I dun wanna hear any complaining.
Bad Language: I have a foul mouth, and it bleeds into my characters…
Non-story related notes:
Hiatus: This story is prone to being forgotten about. If it goes to long, send me a POLITE message, and I'll try to update as soon as I can. Send me a rude one, and I'll put it on my profile and mock you.
Reviews: I love reviews. Like, uberly so. But it's depressing to go all the way to Fictionpress to read my new review, and all it says is: "I like this. Please continue". Please, please, please at least give me a reason why you like it… even better, advice on how to make it better… Or plot ideas. Part of the reason why this never gets updated is because I'm not sure what to write…
Updates: I'll try to update this as often as I can, but that prolly won't be that often. I have a lot written for this story (60+ pages), but that's all in a little notebook and I haven't had the patience to type the bloody thing up. Plus, a large majority of it needs to be re-written… T_T
Primoris Animadverto
I believe I was five when It happened...
I'm not quite sure as no one ever speaks of It...
What I do remember is that the sun was out when It happened, rather ironic now that I think about it.
I was outside... I'm certain of that much.
My twin brother, Louis, was out with me. We were playing.
My older sister, Lily, was sitting nearby, keeping an eye on us...
She was knitting a scarf as well. I'll never know why she was making one. Summer had only just started.
What I do know, is that the scarf was a brilliant white.
...Until disaster struck…
At that moment, I was trying to make a daisy chain for our mother, since daisies were her favorite flower. She said their simplicity calmed her.
Louis was building a sandcastle of sorts. By that I mean it was a pile of gooey mud. Blegh.
I had bent down to pick out another daisy when my vision went dark...
I had almost started screaming, when my vision returned...
...At least...
...I thought it did...
I could see Lily, she was standing, standing and waving to me. Her lips were moving, but no words could be heard.
I knew that I was running to her, but I couldn't feel myself moving.
I knew that something was happening.
I couldn't see clearly...
Everything but Lily was a blur…
A dark shape swooped down towards her…
I couldn't see what it was, it was too blurry…
But my gut told me it was danger…
Suddenly, my vision snapped back to normal...
I was in the midst of picking a flower.
A white flower.
Lily!
That's what reminded me of what I'd seen...
I didn't fully understand what I'd just seen…
I just knew my sister was in danger.
"Amaranth? Are you okay?"
I looked up to see Lily, standing up from her chair, waving at me cheerfully.
"Oh no," I gasped dropping my flowers.
It was the scene from my vision...
I ran towards her as fast as my short legs could carry me.
She laughed thinking, probably thinking nothing was wrong.
And then I saw it. What I couldn't see before.
It was a dragon.
"Lily!!" I shrieked in terror. I could see a frown cross her pale face.
The dragon snatched her, just as she began to look behind her.
I've never seen so much blood…
She screamed in agony, and dropped her half-finished scarf.
The dragon flapped its wings to gain altitude and carried away my sister, still screaming...
That was the last anyone ever saw of her.
My first vision was of her last moment.
I had been unable to help her.
I had been Useless.
I still have her white scarf, only now it's stained ruby red.
And thus it begins... Read and review! Any questions, concerns, or worshipping should be put in reviews, or emailed directly to me! lol. Joking...
