I was warned
They warned me
About how dangerous my selfishness could be
I didn't listen
I was reckless
They screamed warnings at me
They clung as tightly as could be
But still I ran up those stairs
And onto that roof
I stood on the railing with my arms spread wide
Shouting ridiculous claims such as, "Watch me fly!"
I remember the screams of their terror
As I jumped
Lights flew by
As I crashed from my high
From heaven on Earth
To the concrete down below
