Break my joints so I can’t move;

Bones are fine but not my groove.

It’s sad that you have seen it too.

It’s sad that you have seen me blue.

---

I don’t mean to be blue; I just mean to fight

Without the loss of a cold summer night,

I want to be brutal, I want to be free,

Yet inside the mirror to see all of me.

Please don’t hurt me—

I am just a kid.

Don’t desert me—

This isn’t it.

---

Break me into pieces and hide them,

Take all my feelings—confide them

Into the world I thought was blind,

The world I thought I’d left behind.

There is no more telling, no more spelling,

Those names you can’t remember—

You obviously don’t care.

---

Break my joints so I can’t move;

Bones are fine but not my groove.

It’s sad that you have seen it too.

It’s sad that you have seen me blue

And have no things to do.
