We toil in silence
And we know no rest

We live to serve
While they live to play

Soldiers have all the fun
While we all have none

When there are stuff to do
Guess who will be the one

Why teach us to be violent
In a world that's trying to be peaceful

Why teach us to fight
When no one is even willing

Maybe the British shouldn't have left
Then at least we'll still be a colony

Free from the paranoia of a country
Free from the faux democracy

Maybe we'd be called Britons
And use their flag instead

Maybe we'd even learn their language
Oh wait, we're already there

Then I guess I'll blame the Japs instead
For breaking the beautiful illusion

For their selfish endeavours
We suffer now in the dark

Constantly training to fight
A war that will never arrive

I think I'll blame the northern neighbours
Who for such petty reasons, broke up with us

Causing us tensions that should not have been
Leading to our conscription

Maybe these are all excuses
Designed to mislead

Maybe the plan was very simple
It was just to exhibit

The power of your forces shown off
Just like a gigantic phallus for the world to see

Like what the Eiffle is to Paris
Or more clearly, Napoleon

So to all the conscripts of this country
Laugh at them, or ourselves, for we all may just be their...
