Music spewed from his speakers
Igniting inspiration
But she
She in the passenger seat
Was damned by his damnations

It was as if her bleeding hangnails just
Up and healed
She wished to document the phenomenon

He used "undulated" in the wrong context
But she didn’t have the heart to correct him
For the very idea of doing so would break her sweet soul

The true release of skepticism
How it crinkles under her fingertips

And rushes through the cities and sounds
Within the screaming skyscrapers

Let her come undone
And fall into the palindromes
And tick tocks of the grandfather clocks
Tucked into the alleys of downtown

She is finally free from the cement and stucco
which stuck so
and the way it felt to tip toe topsy turvy to Timmy

yet the stacks of scripts in the back of the café are left unread
as she had (once) been
