Beauty’s Death

Can the world still be beautiful
even if there was nobody left to notice?

Did the daffodil really bloom,
however unseen?
And did the bird really sing,
if nobody heard him?

Who will smell the earth
after a day full of rain?
And who will feel
wind’s soft caress anymore?
