Today came too quickly
And tomorrow is still years away.

Today came as promised
While the promises left for tomorrow
Are drifting further and further away.

While our hands touch
And we swear it means nothing,
Our hearts break
Because that might be true

Until this endless day's passed.

And it's just the strangest thing
To know someday we may miss today
