Sun Mare, Pt. 3

Horsepower:

The numbers have made me mechanical,

Gears grinding and pistons pumping

Just to lift my lungs.

Just to propel my stainless steel joints,

Unoiled effort inhuman in life

Has created friction.

Heat lightning! Bam!

Wireless remotes with unknown holders have brought me to a gallop.

A gallop towards sleep-

What will make me human again.

No horsepower, no numbers, can distract me from that dream.

I am part human, part machine.

Driven by horsepower.
