Junior Year

I started out confident,
If I wasn't happy,
At least I was content.

First quarter passes,
I can't keep up,
Not with any of my classes.

Hobbies slowly disappear,
I fall off the map,
Seeing only my peers.

Endless review sessions,
My GPA dives,
Leaving so many questions.

All of my time spent editing,
No winter celebrations,
Just dreading spring.

My sister broke down,
Came home,
Now she's always around.

I finally crack,
I need dedication,
But that I lack.

English is the worst,
So I drop it,
My speech rehearsed.

Weeks later and I'm out,
My worry falls away,
Decisions give me no doubt.

With only two months remaining,
I'm happy again,
Focusing on AP training.

Tests go by quickly,
Summer comes,
Maybe now I can go back to being me?

Hi! I'm pretty sure I haven't written at all this year...which is why I wrote this. My hope is that now that this year is over, senior year will be everything I'm waiting for and more. Which isn't that hard, considering I have horribly low expectations.
