Nothing Lasts Forever
I never thought
that flowers could look so grey;
that gardens could hold so dull
an atmosphere.
Even the wind transformed into mere breeze -
a reminder of a gentle caress,
nothing more...
and I don't want that.
Where did all the thunderstorms go?
A remainder of a fierce fight.
Thunder,
a sound that shows your emotions.
Lightning,
a touch that proves your pains.
They stand by one another,
like friends and foes;
we fell once,
but, again, we rose.
Nothing lasts forever,
everything comes and goes.
How ironic it is
when you read between the lines,
that nothing ever lasts...
At least,
pain had once a significance of being alive before,
and the significance
of a six foot distance
how you lay there,
how I stand here,
while the incomparability of rain started to pour.
I'm going to rewrite this.
