I let all those little things
trickle down my skin
and I soak them in.
I hear every word you speak
though they come so few
and they're sometimes thin.
I don't always use my head
but the thoughts keep coming
like a train.
I can't always stop myself
if I hate the way
that you say my name.
I'll take every breath I can
though I might stifle them
with poisoned air.
I'll kiss every part of you
when a patch of skin
will beg for care.
