Kitty is kissing her boss in the office
She will do anything to earn her keep
She sighs in remorse into cheap motel pillows
And mascara smears as she drifts off to sleep

Katherine was just a young girl at college
Naïve and vibrant, she sparkled with life
Now Kitty’s jaded and stuck in a crisis
As she helps her manager cheat on his wife

Every Monday at nine in the morning
Kitty is neat and clean for the new day
But by ten a.m. she is hot and disheveled
Because of the work that she does for her pay

Kitty’s ignoring the whispers and glares that
Follow her all day and fog up her brain
The pressure is building inside of her conscience
And slowly, poor Kitty is going insane
