Verse One:
Planned wedding.
He's out to sea.
She's waited months.
Just to watch him sail home.
New dress, her hair's in curls.
Searches for his face.
She starts feeling faint.

Chorus:
Widow's Walk.

Above her house.
Dark memories unforgotten.
The day he'd never come home.
While she waited,
On her Widow's walk…

Verse Two:
Mascara stains,
On her bed sheets.
Cries herself to sleep.
An empty place in her heart,
& next to her in bed as well.
Where he once rested…

Bridge:
She was faithful.
As he served on the big blue
,
She waited for her love
To return home,
Peacefully…
[oh, but not this way…]

Chorus:
Widow's Walk.
Above her house.
Dark memories unforgotten.
The day he'd never come home.
While she waited,
On her Widow's walk…

Finale:
There she stands…
There he rests…
Peacefully…

On her…
Widow walk…
