Roll Along the Pier
The pier has held fond memories for me. I rolled along the pier in my roller-blades for days on in. I spend my days watching and observing the sight of the ocean and the people enjoying the view. It's always busy and full of life, you can always see the collaboration of people together having a blast. The entertainers pleasing the crowd with their feats and tricks and the vendors selling their goods and the food of the beach. I love to get some salt water taffy from the "Bay Candy Store." Despite the name, it's very sweet. The pier was my second home. I grew up here seeing it grow and grow. Nothing would have made it better.
Taking my tour to the pier, I saw a girl by her bike looking out. Her eyes reflected the ocean, her hair flow to the ever changing winds. Never before have I seen a girl more beautiful in my life. I had to meet her. I approached her to hope to talk but i saw something in her hand. The girl had a photo of her and a boy. I figured that she had a boyfriend from how the photo showed them embracing.
"Turn and leave it's not worth it." My guts said leave, but I couldn't. Glad I stayed, she tore up her photo, she was crying.
"She must of broken up with her boyfriend." She threw the pieces out in the breeze and got her bike. She started to ride back to town. I followed her. She was serving a bit. She was really upset, I don't think she could control it. Was heading for on-coming traffic. I bladed in front and stopped her.
"Whoa!" we both yelled.
"Wow, I almost got hit, I guess I should be more careful."
"Yeah, I was worried about you. You went all over the place."
"Sorry, I just got out of a relationship."
"I see, well don't ride, especially when your upset. It's creates trouble."
"One more to my bag of troubles. This is a really great day." She was about to cry.
"Hey, Follow me."
"Okay." She wiped her eyes and followed me holding her bike. We walked back to the pier. We talked for a bit, her ex said that he loved her but their was no feeling. He just wanted her for other reasons.
"He was a bastard, he tried to do more than kiss. He was a jerk to me. After we broke up he started to say lies about me and say I was no more than a bitch getting a piece of his pie. The bastard had more say in his social circle than me. Everyone start rejecting me, they don't want to associate themselves with me. I was outcast by my used-to-be friends. I have no social life. I can't show my face anywhere." She began to cry again. I came to her.
"Your do have a life. You can't allow that bastard to say your a slut. He's at fault. You can't take his shit. You deserve better. Your strong, fight back. Give him hell." She wiped her eyes and giggled a little.
"What?"
"Nothing, I'm happy you saved me, twice." We stood there staring for the longest time.
"Let's get something to eat."
"I know a place for the best salt water taffy."
"He he, okay." We walked down the pier bike in hand, with a good time feeling. Suddenly we saw her ex. The bastard was with another girl.
"Well, well, digging for more gold are we? You never learn do you. Best stay away from her, she can give you more than just a headache, if you know what I mean. Your better dating a disease-ridden whore, because she the worst." He and the girl began to laugh.
"I see, pick on the girl because she wouldn't ride the 1-inch gun you carry. You my friend can see that she has better assets compare to you. Believe me when I say she is more man than you are, and she don't need to prove it." I said back at him.
"By the way," She said to the girl, "Enjoy his one inch dick." She giggled to the girl. We made are way onward with a smile on are faces as he had a sour look on his.
"Thank you, so much" She said as she kissed me.
"No prob." We stood at the end of that pier until night fell. Yeah, The pier holds great memories.
