I choke when you come near
The words I want to say won’t come
There’s this blatant kind of fear
This incessant type of numb
That freezes every movement
And paralyzes every thought
No room for improvement
When you forget what you’ve been taught
I want to impress you
And to say what’s on my mind
Guarantee that this is true
Help me feel less blind
I suck at saying how I feel
So let this be the end
I can’t tell if this is real
Or if I’m only just you’re friend.
