Yeah, this is slightly a sad one-shot. I got my inspiration from the Nickelback song, Just To Get High (Which I don't own). Please review!

I don't own the song, just the plot

The dull moonlight illuminated the street, casting an eerie glow upon the dead path. His boots clacked on the cracked side, his hands in his long black trench coat. His whole body was covered in the dark color, blending into the night. The only thing of light was his icy blue eyes, which were hardened with anger and betrayal. Dark brown strands covered his face slightly, the soft wind blowing them slightly.

He turned towards a darken alley, a flickering lamp post sending flashes of light into the disgusting abyss. Hiding in a corner, a frightened teenage boy sat, shivering heavily. He was dressed in a dirty white shirt, patched brown from dirt, and red from blood. His light blue jeans were ripped, and frayed.

The man sighed as he approached the shaking teen. He kneeled, and the boy's head snapped up. Frightened dark green eyes looked up at the dark dressed man. "A-Anthony."

Anthony's eyes narrowed. "What are you doing Jason? Shooing up again?" He hissed.

Jason shook his head, "No, of course not. I quit."

Anthony snorted. He watched with emotionless eyes as Jason stood shakily. Without warning, Anthony gripped Jason's collar and shoved him into the uneven brick wall of a neighboring building. His face centimeters from Jason's he hissed, "Why don't you just use a damn gun. It would save me all this trouble of watching over your ass."

Jason shivered, "I'm not-"

"Doing this to die," Anthony deadpanned, 'I know, but you'll walking a tedious path, and one day it will end. And you will plummet to your death." He hissed.

Jason looked at Anthony with fear, his body shaking just from the emotion that was radiating from the older man. Anthony's grip tightened on his collar, "I can't keep doing this Jason, make a choice. Life or Death."

Without another word, Anthony left in a wisp of smoke, Jason falling to the ground with a soft, muted thud. Jason sat there, shaking heavily. He stood, using the wall as support as his knee shook. He tumbled out of the alley, not even noticing the tears that were cascading down his dirt stained cheeks.

Lighting crackled behind him as his gaze narrowed. Kneeling on a fire escape, Anthony peered into a bedroom window. Jason was standing there, shaking. 'Three days' He thought with a sigh. The boy was thinning. Dark bags scarred his eyes of exhaustion. He turned his gaze away when he saw the young teen grab a pocket knife, slipping it into his gray sweatshirt's sleeve. Next, he grabbed a small bag; six golden bands were its contents. He shook them in his hand before pocketing them. Anthony sighed as he watches Jason left his room, doing the horrific deeds need to supply the feeling.

Anthony stomped into the alley. By now, rain fell from the sky, and thunder yelled loudly in the background. His hair was sticking to his face, but he paid no heed to the annoyance. His dark icy blue gaze was on Jason, who resumed his spot in the corner. His hand shook as he held the syringe close to his forearm. Dark hazel colored liquid filled the instrument. Anthony's boot splashed loudly in a puddle, making Jason look up in fright. The teen scrambled to his feet. "A-Anthony, what are you doing here."

Anthony growled, and grabbed Jason by the collar once again. He slammed him against the wall, the syringe hitting the ground with a soft ping. "You disgust me." Anthony hissed, "Did you know that woman you robbed had two children, who were in the room sleeping? What if they came out? You could've scarred them for life!" He said, slamming Jason's body against the wall again.

"I-I didn't know, I swear."

"And what about your mother?" Anthony spat, "Her rings! Her wedding band! What the hell Jason, have you lost your mind!"

"I needed to, I couldn't handle it anymore!"

Anthony growled. Lowering his body slightly, he grabbed the syringe. He held it as if h was going to stab Jason in the heart. "For years I've watched you. And this is how your honor your father's sacrifice? He would be disappointed on how you turned out. How you're treating your mother. You're lucky you have a damn guardian angel, or you would've been dead by now!" He said, slamming Jason back against the wall, "Life or death Jason, that's it." He said before leaving in a wisp of smoke again, leaving a sobbing Jason behind.
