1This passion for you

Is open as the sky in June,

is wild as the flowers that bloom

along the loamy soil.

My feelings rae unbridled,

like a wild stallion out west.

My actions are erratic

and uncontrolled by logic.

I feel you whisper and surround me

in the form of wind or water.

Your message is all too clear

as it takes shape in a drop of dew.

I want to kiss beneath a thundercloud,

not the stars, because I need to know

that perfection has no place

in this earthly love of ours.

Your spine is an effortless ridge,

drawing me in until I’ve stumbled,

tumbling into the Grand Canyon

expanse of your chest.

If I could touch you forever I would,

but out here, nothing lasts forever.

I’m a cliff carved away by a stream,

a flower blown along in the breeze.

It may not last, but memory will.

My fingers will forever recall your

illustrious features, features carved out

like a cliff carved away by a stream.
