I can't help,
To be bound to the past,
As the past makes me,
It created me,
It is where I came from.

I remember the days back in the North,
Where the seasons were real,
Leaves changed color,
And snow fell,
But things can change so quickly.

Death can change a young life so quick,
Make a boy become a man in a few weeks,
A girl a women in a few months,
And scar any person forever,
And scar it did.

The south was a change,
Pain followed in sorrow,
Relief came through the unhealthy,
And a world was seen so different,
From the eyes of a drifting mind.

Days changed after things blurred,
Farther into the past,
And you had to live,
Because the past wasn't always there,
And there was truly no safe place in the world.

Years go by and the past was just a memory,
The days alone gone,
Only remembered today,
In true loneliness,
And the sorrow is brought back.

Days became bright,
When you meet the right people,
And you form a bond,
A strong on that lasts forever,
And we cling to it.

Remember the day we fell in love,
It started with words,
Then involved actions,
And life was great,
But it ended in sadness.

Regret fills those days,
After I lost you,
By my own hand,
By my own decision,
And Nothing will bring those times back.

I love you with my heart still,
But I have died,
Died without you here by my side,
And my love is still there,
I still love you.

But its all in the past now,
Only a distant memory,
Of the sorrow,
Of the joy,
Of the love we shared.

I live today,
And hope we will be together again,
With the same love in my heart,
From the past, it has never gone,
And my heart still beats.

In life I was dead with out you,
In death I would accomplish nothing,
So I live with my life today,
And sometimes I go back into my memories of history,
Back to the Start of it all...
