Painfully Unsure

She's twitching in her seat,
scratching at her thighs,
pulling on her hair,
and screaming in her throat.

No one ever hears her though.
She's only anxious on the inside,
insecure in her own skin;
that's what he's done to her.

She's afraid to open up again;
never wants to hurt,
unsure of how she should feel.
She shuts down and is lost in herself.

I think a lot of people, not only girls, can relate to this in some way. No one likes to be rejected.
