The End…Or So I Thought

Epilogue

It was extremely bright, yet the air was cool. Johanna stretched and blinked her eyes. Groggily she asked, “Where am I?”

In Johanna’s line of vision she saw a woman with a long white dress on. The woman had fiery red hair that trailed down her back, cascading over black wings. The woman came towards Johanna and spoke in a soft, musical voice. “Johanna, I’m the Angel of Forgiveness. What you did back there with Matt, giving your life up so willingly, that deserves a reward.”

Johanna looked down and said, “Nothing was holding me back anymore, it seemed logical that I should’ve passed.”

Forgiveness tilted Johanna’s head up and stared her straight in the eyes, “That’s not what your heart is telling you.”

“Too late to have regrets now.”

“I agree, but I’m thinking you might find your reward rather satisfying.”

“What is my reward?”

Matt came and landed beside Forgiveness and said, “I talked to a few people and we found some loopholes. Johanna you’re going back to Earth, alive.”

A huge smile took over Johanna’s face and her eyes lit up. “Really?”

“Really, now you ready to go back to the land of the living, kid?”

Johanna laughed and hugged Matt. “Yeah, but I have a question, will I be able to communicate with you?”

Matt plucked Johanna’s forehead. “What do you think?”

“Just say my name and I’ll be there.” She quoted.

“Exactly. Now Forgiveness, ready to work your magic?”

Forgiveness walked up and placed her hand over Johanna’s heart, “This may hurt.”

Intense pain shot through Johanna’s body like electricity and she screamed. Voices from all directions began asking her if she was okay. “Shut up!” she screamed.

Everyone did but one doctor who slowly asked her once more if she was okay. Johanna replied, “Other than a splitting headache I’m fine.”

The doctor nodded and went off to find some Tylenol. Johanna’s find crowded around her all crying tears of happiness. She hugged them all and said, “I’m sorry, I’m sorry,” to each of them.

A voice came from the door to Johanna’s room. “So you’re really back?”

She looked up and saw Byron standing there. Johanna’s family bid her a goodbye and left the room to go rest. “Yeah, I’m really back this time.”

Byron came and stood beside her bed, “How?”

“There are loopholes in everything Byron.”

He laughed, “Well, I guess I better be going now.”

“Oh, so when I’m near dead you can talk, but when I’m alive and well that’s when there’s a problem?”

“No, it’s not that. I have a plane ride to catch. Silly, I told you I’m not mad.” Byron gave her a hug and walked out the room saying, “You know where to reach me.”

“Bye Byron!”

Then, Stefan appeared in the doorway, eyes disbelieving. “Johanna…”

Johanna swung herself out of the hospital bed, ripping out all the IV’s. Throwing herself into his arms she started crying. “Stefan, I thought I would never be able to come back.”

Leading Johanna back to the hospital bed Stefan pulled Johanna and himself on it and held her close. “Tell me all about it.”

“I will later,” she said, “but right now, let’s just stay like this.”

Stefan kissed Johanna softly, “Until forever.”

Kissing him back Johanna grinned, “Till the end of time. I love you Stefan.”

“Love you too Johanna.”

And they continued their days living peacefully and happily ever after.

……The End.

A/N: Okay, so I would like to thank Matty for reading this all night long while I typed it up in a rush! He also gave me a chapter title, Near the End, that one, because I was running out of ideas. Anyways, you all should go to my profile and read other stories I’ve done. Remember, reviews are love and I hope I’m loved!
