Good Friend
All good friends have it tough
Always there when things get rough
Listening, helping, trying hard
Ignoring the pain, getting scarred
Being good listeners is who they are
Keeping it shut but also ajar
Their eyes in yours shows that they care
Your concern, they are aware
To not tell anyone, they can do
They'll keep your word just for you
It's difficult, tough, hard work you see
For them you think it's quite easy
Once you put yourself in their place
You'll realise how much they face
From your problems and their own
It's too much to be shown
For help, you come straight over
To find some luck like a four leaf clover
You may strike luck or a clue
They can try their best to help you
Don't get angry when they find
No answer to the questions behind
You don't know how much it hurts
You could leave stains on shirts
Talking about others behind backs
They can feel like a hacking axe
Especially if it's something bad
Can boil up and make them mad
If you could get to know them more
It could open up another door
Understand them back and you will see
What they feel but no need to agree
Just make sure you give them time
For some space and some prime
Once you put yourself in their place
You'll realise how much they face
All good friends have it tough
Always their when things get rough
Listening, helping, trying hard
Ignoring the pain, getting scarred
Don't just take granted of your friend
Because all will disappear in the end
Make sure you are a good friend too
Two good friends will forever stay true
