Title: There comes a time in every man's life when he becomes pregnant.
Jason felt sick, to sick to do anything. He held his stomach as he got up to run to the bathroom once again to vomit. Greg, Jason's partner, Rushed into the bathroom to make sure he was ok. "Baby you ok?" Greg asked. Jason breathing heavily answered, " Does it look it?"
"Sorry, I just wanted to make sure you haven't thrown you're guts up by now. You've vomited so much today."
" I no you're worried but don't be. This is all normal at this stage." Jason reassured Greg of the matter.
" Ok, well get cleaned up and I'll help you back to the couch."
" Ok. Just give me a minute; I think there's more."
Speak of the devil. Jason got on his hands and knees and vomited once more into the toilet.
"Shutting the door now!" As Greg closed the ajar door completely.
" Shut up!" Jason hollered back at him, then continuing to vomit. Greg walked into the kitchen and started making Jason something to eat.
Jason called again. "Greg!"
" Coming hold on."
"No now!"
" All right, all right!"
Greg said as he threw the dishtowel down on the counter. He walked into the bathroom and helped Jason stand up.
"This is really taking a toll on me." Jason said to Greg as he helped him walk over to the couch. "Well it's only you're first trimester, it's going to get better, don't you worry."
Greg sat Jason down on the couch. " Yeah well the second isn't coming fast enough." Jason replied. " I'm making you something to eat. Are you all right with that or is the bathroom going to become you're friend again?"
" It's always been my friend. And yes I'm all right with that."
" Ok. Well I hope you like what I did with the Salmon?" Just that quick Jason got up and ran for the bathroom. " Or not…" Jason came back into the living room and sat down on the couch next to Greg who was now eating a plate of the hot salmon. " Could you not eat that in front of me? The smell is making me even sicker."
"Oh sorry babe, I'll finish it in the kitchen. You used to love salmon, what happened?"
"Pregnancy is what happened." Jason answered back. "You sound like you're not happy about carrying our child?" Greg asked.
"Well Greg lets look at it this way, would you be happy if you were throwing up every minute of the day? Or having to gain at least 5 pounds everyday? And would you like to have mixed emotions for no reason every fucking day? Huh? Would you?"
" No." Greg said blankly. " Then no Greg, I'm not happy!" Jason started to sob.
" Aw, babe I'm sorry. Come here." Greg Pulled Jason into a tight comforting hug. "But you were so psyched about it, when we decided to have this baby?"
"Look Greg, I'm not, not happy about the baby it's just that I'm frustrated right now ok?"
"Ok, you know you can talk to me about it right?" Greg asked.
"Yes Greg and when I'm ready to talk I will call for you."
"Ok. I love you Jason."
"I love you too." Greg walks back into the kitchen and places his plate in the sink. He leans against the sink for a minute and hangs his head in frustration. "It's only been two months, I don't know if I can handle this for another twelve?" The next day came and Greg did the usual. He got up to pee, then shower, and dress for work. He always left the house without eating. Jason did almost the same. He would get up to pee (which would become more frequent these days), He would shower, and dress for work. He's always hungry so there's no way he's leaving without food. And if there were nothing in the house he could bring along with him, he would stop on the way and get something at McDonalds or swing by Dunkin Doughnuts.
Jason's work:
Jason walks into work, food in one hand, and brief case in the other. " Casey, messages?"
" Nothing Mr. Trent."
" Thank you." He said as he passed by her desk and picked up papers from another.
" You're welcome." She replied. Jason walked into his office and closed the door. " Ok what to do first?" He sat at his desk put the papers down and finished his breakfast. The intercom came in on his phone: "Mr. Trent? You're 9 am is here." He hit the button.
" Tell him to come in."
A man walks into Jason's office. " Hello Jason." Jason gets up from his desk. " Hello sir." They shake hands and Jason motions him to sit down. " Thank you for having me."
" Well, it's my pleasure."
" We're here to talk about my book correct?"
" Well this is the publishing office." He let out a small laugh.
" Yes, I want to ask why I should pick you're company to publish my book?"
" Simply Sir because-"
" Please call me Sal."
" Sal, Cause we are the most responsible company there is. We will make sure you're book sells even if no one is buying."
" That does sound reasonable."
" Believe me sir it-"
" Hey" Sal points at him.
" Sorry… Sal, it is."
" Alright, sold!"
" Great Sir- Sal I will turn you over to one of my partners in the office, they will talk to you about everything." Jason got up and led Sal out of his office and down the hall
" Good, thank you. You have to be some where?"
"Kind of, I have a doctors appointment."
" Oh, good luck. Last time I had an appointment they got my charts mixed up and told me I had three months to live. Let me tell you that was the worst three months of my life. And especially for the guy I was mixed up with. That's' why I'm writing this book."
" That's great Sal and I will be sure to avoid that."
" Alright well thank you Jason."
" Very welcome Sal. Jess please take of Mr. Landover."
" Sure thing Jason."
" Bye." Jason called back as he left Jess's office and turned right into the bathroom.
Next up on: There comes a time: Jason's Doctors appointment, Jason is surprised when the doctor tells him good news. What will Greg think about it? Read to find out.
