“Never offend someone with style when you can offend them with substance.”
- Sam Brown
---
The reactions are more amusing, you see, when you’re honest, much more amusing then when you’re simply clever. Oft if you insult clever, people don’t even know they’ve been insulted at all, and where’s the fun in that?
I’ve a sort of obsession about insulting people you see; in ninth grade I issued myself a challenge, to insult every member of my schools staff without getting in trouble for it. I managed it, of course, but I quickly realized that while it was most certainly satisfying, getting away with it, it was much more fun to see the reactions to the insults. So I then challenged myself to get a reaction from each teacher and while I got more detentions then I can easily recall, it was much more fun.
And the best reactions come from honest insults naturally. Although finding a good truth to throw in someone’s face can take time, and quite often a lot of energy too, I find that it’s quite worth it to indulge myself.
My family thinks I’m crazy, but really, I’m only insulting.
