The funny thing about killers, is that sometimes they can be who you least expect them to be. Take this situation for instance. A colleague of mine, actually he is my partner, or was, I suppose. He was a good guy, had a wife and kids, played baseball down at the local park with his son every Saturday. But there was one thing he never told anyone. And unfortunately, no one knew until it was too late. It shocked everyone, no one knew he was capable of murdering his wife. No one. But she’s dead, a bullet wound marking her chest. I was told that he made his children watch him kill her, threatened to kill them too if they didn’t watch. I hear when his little girl, Christ did look away he kicked her. Hard. And he shot her twice. It goes without saying that the only person who made it out alive was my partner himself. And according to a witness, when he walked out of his house, he was smiling, almost skipping down the street in joy. This is Patrick Walker, and I’m a detective for the Los Angeles Detective Agency, LADA. These journals detail the gruesome murders and various other crimes that occur that I investigate. Prepare yourself, for I will take you into the criminal world of LA, and regrettably, you might not like what we find.
