Prompt: Taming somone isn't the same as befriending someone.

It had to be deep, it was supposed to have two main characters, and I had to use a comparison. I spent all of ten minutes on it. All things considered, I think I did pretty good.

I don’t have friends.

There is one person, a young woman, and she considers herself my friend.

She’s wrong, of course, we’re not friends. Taming someone isn’t the same as befriending someone. I wish I could say that I had tamed her, but I can’t; I didn’t. She tamed me.

We’re not friends.

Pet and Master would be a more accurate description. She holds my choke chain in her dainty little hand. All the little pieces of me, right there in her palm. She’s the Puzzle Master, and I’m the puzzle.

She fixed me, mostly. She put me together, and smoothed out my edges.

She tamed me.

And I hate her for it.
