A/N: If you understand this song, you're one step ahead of me, cuz I sure as heck dont! If you get it, congrats! If you dont, dont feel bad. It came to me randomly. I think they were ideas for like three different songs and I mixed them together. But you know there's always that one wierd song that you always seem to fall in love with? Well...this song is my literature loveable geek, I guess. I like the chorus cuz it remotely makes sense. Oh well...
Happy Insomnia (3a.m.)
Oh, it's a perfect night for disaster,
The moon above shines alabaster,
And you say "It feels like the movies."
And you know I haven't slept for days,
Funny how I feel this way
Nothing feels like the movies.
Cuz movies don't feel,
Just black and white pictures on black and white screens,
We're not so into reading their scenes,
Cuz movies aren't real.
Chorus: You asked me why,
I closed my eyes,
And all that I can say,
Is "It's three a.m. and I just can't stand to stay…awake."
Oh, and it's a perfect dawn for catastrophe,
You say "Drop your eyes, now look at me,"
Do I ever know what I'm doing?
So I drop my eyes and I look at you,
Well, look at you, you're split in two,
And I forgot what I was doing.
Chorus: And you asked me why,
I closed my eyes,
The excuse I choose to say:
"Cuz it's three a.m. and I just can't bear to stay…awake."
Bridge: Oh, and she's a perfect girl for a has-been,
You think she'll give you love again,
But the truth is she don't love you the way I can,
I can't believe I thought you were a man.
Chorus: And if you asked her why,
She closed her eyes,
Do you think that she would say,
"It's three a.m. and I just can't stand to stay…awake."
Do you think that she would say,
"It's three a.m. and I just can't stand to stay…awake."
