My God, we've been covered in so much dust
It's been so long since I've felt my heart beat
In the way that you can make it scream
I can feel it beating a silent bruise into my chest
And I can't seen to turn my face from you
Even when the looks they shoot me singe my skin
Burn through me as though I were under glass
But I cannot fulfill my poorly hidden but spoken need
We are surrounded by too many cruel witnesses
Symmetric hearts whose lives walk in shadow
I know you see right through my false silhouette
I can feel us intertwining again in our routine wave
Dancing in the twilight of our memories
And all those things I buried in my fleshy graveyard
Awaken once more to show me
Just exactly how the world can be
So completely
Perfect.
