They have many names. Some call them sirens, some call them demons; they rule the seas.

There are many legends regarding these creatures. Some say they are flesh eaters, some say they have fins, others say they look like alligators or resembles fishes.

People are warned; especially young maidens against going near large bodies of water alone, for these creatures are famous for their love for drowning young beautiful women. Sometimes you will hear of men being drowned as well, but that is rare.

Legends say if one has misfortune of meeting one of these terrible creatures, the best protection known is to bow. By nature courteous creatures; they shall bow back and in the process they will lose the special water they carry above their heads. If so happens they will be bound to the person as a slave for all eternity. They say, when bonded these creatures bring nothing but good luck to their masters.

These are all just myths and legends but all myths and legends contain some truth. Or so is said.
