sometimes your photos get stuck in
summer tones when they could be
shining in that weird winter light
and sometimes you leave the piano alone
cuz you're spending all your time with the microphone
or your camera lens
but worst is when you neglect your pen
living life in light and sound
sunset-drunk and melody-bound
you've forgotten what its like to wrap your tongue around
the words piled up behind your teeth
the words you're not sure how to speak
