I don't resent your entrance,

my exit or the timing of it all.

I take issue with the Playwright

who had to be so cruel in casting me thus.

As the casual bit-part player,

He would not deign to give my character

the courage to see it through to the end of His play

but suffer a trifling demise,

with a sad and shattered heart.
