So how’s everybody’s Halloween?

Nice? Fun? Scary? Romantic? XD Hope ur fine tho. ^_^

Anyway, here’s the continuation of the previous chappie. I’m sure some of you found the story getting pretty weird… Hmmm… I myself found that that, too. But since it’s already posted here, I’d just proceed on with the story without changing much. Just treat this as a special “Yamato Nadeshiko-like” chapter with the bishie ghost and all. XP

Lotsa luv!

Haunted House. 11:13 pm.

“How could he sleep so well at times like these? Damn, it’s so scary here…” She muttered to herself after waking up an hour after.”I should not have slept too much today. Don’t tell me I have to endure this until morning?!” She restlessly complained to herself, as the larger person lay peacefully asleep on the concrete floor beside her.

“If I knew I’d be out for so long I could have charged my phone well.” She said as she tried to turn on her cellphone. However, the screen remained black.

Suddenly, a strange sound came out of nowhere. “What’s that?”

She shook the person’s shoulder but he did not respond. The sound came again.

”Hey! Wake up, Uruha-san.” This time, it caused her to panic so she forcefully shook him.

“Doushite?” He uttered in a husky, half-asleep voice.

“Did you hear that?”

“I hear nothing. Stop disturbing me anymore.”

Right then the sound came again. “Oi…” She pleaded with tears slowly forming in her eyes.

Upon noticing the anxiety in her voice, he sat up and remained still as if to wait for the sound. When it echoed again, she involuntarily pulled closer and held his arm.

Uruha sighed before smiling. “Baka.”

“What did you say? You just heard it now, don’t you?”

“That’s a mynah. A bird, okay?”

“Eh?”

“Your lack of common knowledge is really awesome, neh?” He teased while massaging his temple with a hand. His being too busy the entire day took its toll on him greatly.

She scowled. Then he put himself to a sleeping position again.

“Demo… Didn’t you bring your phone with you? We could just call them up, you know?”

“Are you really that afraid? Or are you just scared because you’re alone here with me?” His tone of voice suddenly changed.

“What are you saying? I mean, if there really are ghosts here, shouldn’t we be trying to get out as soon as possible?” She said blushingly, thankful that the darkness effectively hid her already deep red face.

“I was in a real hurry back then that I dropped my phone.” Then he handed her the broken device. She tried to turn it on, but just the same as hers, it did not light up.

He is in a hurry? What- For me? She flushed a bit more and shot the exhausted man a look.

“I told you already why I can’t drive. Besides, this place is too remote from the town, there’s no way you’d get there even if you walk in the middle of the night alone.”

“I know that. But you said there’s a ghost right? Then we are in a dangerous place right now. Aren’t you even bothered? We’re both injured right now because of that floating look-a-like of yours.”

“Stop talking about my look-a-likes, will you?” He scolded her before continuing, “I too am not sure if we are safe here, but I heard that he only kills beautiful and young virgins. That makes you even safer than me.” He snobbishly mocked her again.

“You’re really something else. Can’t you put aside our difference in looks even for a night? We are not in the situation to even talk about those things. Also…” She embarrassedly flamed. “I know to you I might not be attractive, but don’t think everybody thinks the same way.“

“So you’re saying that the ghost must be attracted to you. Did that please you because he looks like me?” He playfully teased her again.

“N-no. How could that be?”

He smiled and turned his face towards the painting of the man whose face resembles much of himself. Tohru, however, did not notice that fact because of the darkness.

“Hey, Wodka-san! This hideous creature you almost wronged is my wife. Got it? So leave us alone now.” His deep and ironically masculine sleepy voice resounded throughout the spacious foyer. Afterwards he turned his back against her and began curling up again to sleep.

“Oi! Are you out of your mind? Who are you talking to? And what hideous creature- Hey, don’t sleep!” She red-facedly pulled him up.

He smirked. “How tedious. You really won’t let me sleep no matter what, huh?”

“It’s too scary.”

“If I stay awake, will you stop bugging me.”

“Yeah. Do whatever you want. Just… don’t sleep.” She shyly requested.

At that, Uruha sat up again and straightened his back against the wall. She moved away a bit to give him room to stretch his long legs. So he did. She pulled her knees and rolled into a ball.

Time passed with nothing said between the two.

He just remained sitting while calmly staring at the huge moon outside beaming a soft white light at them through a window in the second floor. Tohru, on the other hand, stayed on her curled up position while constantly fidgeting and peeking at him.

How beautiful.

How could such a person be...so beautiful?

She asked to herself as the vision of his gracefully elongated figure and almost divine serious face, which are then lightly illuminated by the moonlight, gravitated her sight to him firmly. With great effort, she took her gaze off him. She is sure she's be cruelly joked at again once he catches her.

The quiet and stillness helped Uruha realize a few things. Guilt slowly crept into him as he looked at the diminutive person hugging her knees and rubbing her arms to brush away the cold.

We shouldn’t even be here. If only I-

He closed his eyes tightly and sighed.

Suddenly, a loudening noise from a car’s engine startled the two.

Tohru immediately stood up and began walking towards the sound. However, realizing that Uruha cannot walk, she came back and offered him help.

“C’mon. I’m sure it’s them.” She happily said while extending an arm towards the seated person.

“I don’t need your help. Just go and tell them to pick me up.” He said while looking away.

“What’s this? We’re one step closer to being saved and you’re still acting like that.”

He just remained silent. She sighed but decided to remain patient.

“Hey, I don’t have a contagious disease or something.”

“It’s not because of that.”

“Then why?”

Right then, Bara and Yuuki emerged from the dark. The white haired instantly ran towards them.

“What happened to you two?” He asked with his hands on the girl’s shoulders. “Amaya-san! You’re injured in the head!”

“No, it’s okay. It’s just a little wound. It’s not as bad as it looks. Demo…” She turned to look at the man he’s been with the entire time.

“Ah! Don’t twist it!” Uruha grimaced in pain when Bara inspected his ankle.

“Uruha-san…” Yuuki worriedly bent over towards his friend.

He glared away and tried to stand by himself. Although the pain of the injury already hurt him like a stabbed dagger, he cannot stand people taking pity on him more.

“I’d go to the car myself.”

As he was making his way by supporting himself on the wall, Umi entered the hall. He easily noticed the growing tension in the place.

“What’s going on here?” He asked while looking at the tall person struggling to walk.

When he shot a look at the others, what he instantly saw is Tohru’s agitated face. Somehow, it pissed him off to see her looking that way.

Must be Uruha-san. Before he could move to approach the man, Tohru walked towards him first.

She grabbed him by the free wrist and said, “Hey, don’t be like this.”

He shook her hold and continued walking.

“Hey…” When she touched him, he just pushed her away.

She returned to him but as he struggled to push her again, he lost balance and the two fell down to the ground.

“Stop acting so much like you care! I’m not that helpless to-“ Suddenly, a fist met his handsome yet pale face.

“Umi… “

“What’s the matter with you?!” The long-haired grabbed him by the collar. “Are you out of your mind? I know that pride of yours is more precious to you than any of us, but to your wife…” He stopped when he noticed the misery on Uruha’s face.

Bara approached the two men and separated them. Then Yuu pulled Umi away from the other guitarist.

“Wakatta. I’s sure you feel bad about this happening and not being able to do anything about it, but it is not your fault, or anybody’s. So come on, we have to get out of here quickly and have your injuries checked.” The red-haired leader calmed the injured man.

Uruha glanced towards Tohru and noticed the dried-up blood on her forehead that used to be hidden by her bangs. He felt even more miserable inside, so he decided to comply with Bara’s proposal.

When he finally allowed the bassist to help him up, Bara signaled Yuuki and the others to proceed and handed Umi the keys to his car.

“We’ll use Kei’s car.”

Okay. I took out the other “supernatural” things that I was originally intending to include to lessen the awkwardness of the story. XP

^_^

So they got their feelings deepened because of this little accident. However, Umi is starting to have some realizations too… Let’s see what happens next in the next chappie!

And please review!

Opinions really matter cuz I sometimes get too carried away by random stuff that I see. Honestly, this horror event was inspired by something I read from Yamato Nadeshiko manga. XP Guess it didn’t work out well in the story though. XD
