In a city,
You grab my hand,
And giggle as you pull me,
Into beautiful stores,
Holding onto me,
Never wanting to let me go.
Her eyes,
I cannot see,
Her voice I cannot hear,
But I know she's smiling,
She really loves being here,
As long as it's with me.
You grab me again,
And pull me off again,
Into a pizza parlor,
We grab our food,
And laugh as we eat,
Having fun.
You smile as you walk out,
The sun shines bright,
Losing sight of you for a moment,
As you walk out the door,
With a smile on my face,
And the day at it's very peak.
There is no more sunshine,
When I walk out the door,
Only terror waits,
And a dark sky as it rains,
Pouring down my face,
As I become soaked.
The beautiful city,
Nothing but ruins,
The parlor behind me,
Only dust and rubble,
Of its once beautiful glory,
It now lies in waste.
You were gone,
Everyone was gone,
And the storm continued to stir,
In this Ruined City,
And the tears rolled down my cheeks,
Hidden in the rain of this Ruined City.
