Left Behind

We used to be so close.
What happened back there, what happened?
I have always believed in you.
You know? You know?
We've been together since forever.
Didn't we? Didn't we?
And now you've turned your back on me.

I missed you, but it's myself I hate.
I don't lie - Why would I?
I've tried so hard - I'm desperate.
Can't you see? You see?
I must've done something wrong again.
So then you can tell me, just tell me.

* * *

Joy shared is happiness doubled
While sadness divided is less sorrow;
What's left of yesterdays shouldn't be here on today
And now no one would look forward to the tomorrows.
A dim future comes from a shadowed past
I could hold on to the present, and see how long I last
But for now I will just linger
And wait until you wake up and remember.

Those moments we shared;
Those times we shattered.
The flower has blossomed and withered,
Yet I hold on 'cause I don't believe in come-what-mays.
Don't say what you mean, but mean what you say.
Rewind time, and let time remind you.
As long as there is hope, there must be a way.
My faith only remains if the path does not lead us astray.

It's two pieces combined.

Was listening to Franklin by Paramore. ;)
