The rain pounded the grounded as it fallen from the dark clouds above. Lightning struck the ground and a fire started in the forest. Animals pranced out of the forest as some had gotten stuck under the fiery trees. An old woman in a black cloak stood in the middle of a fire wind with a sly smirk. She lifted her head up from the ground and looked towards the sky with a cackle. She laughed as the fire started to burn her clothes and soon her. “Tick-tock, time is almost up…” Is what she said before she fallen to her knees still cackling like a hyena. Soon her whole body was engulfed in flames and she died laughing.

The fire men arrived to the forest and did their best to put out the fire. By the time the fire was down spreading its terror it was dawn. The whole forest was now ashes and reeked of decaying animals. A young fireman walked through the ashes and found a black cloak and sighed. His thumb ran over the gold button that was on the cloak and looked around as he heard a cackle. “The witch may have died, but she will be back,” He whispered to himself as he threw the tattered cloak to the side. Once the cloak touched the ground it was engulfed into flames and a black sphere arise from the burnt body.

Miami, Florida

Two Days Later

A young woman was sitting up in her hospital bed holding a newborn baby in her arms. The woman looked at her husband with a bright smile. “Isn’t she beautiful, Gary?” The woman asked, running her fingertips over the baby’s cheek. Gary kissed his wife’s forehead and smiled.

“Very,” He replied. “What do you want to name her?” He asked, looking back down at the baby again. The woman’s smile widens.

“We’ll name her Samara; Samara Hannah Marie White.”

“What a beautiful name for our baby girl,” Gary said, kissing Samara’s forehead. The couple filled the birth certificate with a big smile and the wife lay back down to rest. Gary smiled and took Samara in his arms and rocked her bit. Soon, he gotten tired himself and placed Samara in the crib. Gary sat back on the recliner and fell asleep.

A nurse walked in the room with a smile. She pushed Samara’s small crib and took her to the nursery room for inspection. She left the newborn in the room alone and went to go get the doctor real quick.

A black spear went through the wall and spotted the newborn baby. The nurse heard a loud cackle from down the hall and quickly went back to the nursery to see a black spear entering Samara’s body. The nurse screamed loudly and fainted. Samara started crying loudly and nurses rushed to the room with a doctor. Samara’s whole body was glowing black and white and the other nurses backed to the wall screaming loudly. The doctor slowly walked towards the newborn baby. His hand reached out to touch the baby, but when he did touch Samara; his hand was engulfed in fire. He yelled loudly and stuck his burning hand under the water facet, but instead on water coming out, gas poured onto his hand. The gas got on his jacket and it, too, was engulfed into flames. He stopped, dropped, and rolled on the floor. The cackle grew louder within the room. “Madam Momoko has returned!” A loud gust of wind broke the windows in all of the hospital rooms and soon everyone who could walk ran out of the hospital.

“Sarah!” Gary called out to his wife. “We need to go now!” He grabbed her by the arm.

“Not without my baby first!” Sarah smacked his hand and Gary let go of her. Sarah quickly ran down the hallway, but fell to her knees. She was still feeling weak from giving birth just a few hours ago.

Sarah started to crawl to the nursery room and found her newborn baby Samara. “Samara!” She called and went to the small bed. She noticed Samara was glowing and grew frighten. She bit her bottom lip and hesitantly reached for Samara. The black glow around Samara’s body went away the moment Sarah touched her baby. A final cackle was heard in the room and the strong wind stopped.

“, is everything alright?” A nurse asked her from behind her. Sarah looked around the room and noticed everything was back in its place. The windows weren’t even broken and there wasn’t any more panic. Sarah looked at the nurse with frighten eyes. The nurse took Sarah by the arms and helped her up. “Come on, , I’ll take you back to your room.” The nurse slowly walked back Sarah to her room. Sarah looked back at the nursery with frighten eyes.

What happened? She asked herself and the nurse sat her on her bed.

“I’ll go get the doctor to examine you again, Ms.” Sarah didn’t acknowledge the nurse as she left the room. Sarah turned her head to Gary and she groaned. Gary was on the recliner asleep, like he was before after Sarah went to sleep.

Sarah ran her fingers through her hair and lay back down on the bed. She closed her eyes and inhaled and exhaled; trying to relax. “Maybe it was a dream and I was sleep walking,” She suggested to herself. She opened her eyes and screamed loudly.

Up on the ceiling was a message written in blood. The message said: Madam Momoko has returned.

The nurse and doctor rushed in the room as the blood started to drip onto Sarah. This made Sarah screamed louder. “What’s the matter, ?” The doctor asked, helping sit up. The blood that was on the ceiling dripped more on Sarah, but it appeared the doctor or nurse didn’t notice.

“T-There’s b-blood on the c-c-ceiling!” Sarah pointed at the ceiling. The nurse and doctor looked up at the ceiling then back at her with confused expression.

“We don’t see anything on the ceiling, Mrs. White,” The doctor said. At this point, Gary woke up and looked at Sarah worried.

“What’s wrong?” He asked. Sarah pointed at the ceiling.

“There’s blood!” She repeated and Gary looked up. He looked back at her even more worried.

“I don’t see anything, honey. Maybe you need to lie down and rest.” Blood started to drip on Gary, but he didn’t seem to notice it.

“There’s blood on you, too, Gary!” Gary looked at his shoulder and saw nothing.

“There’s nothing on me,” He said, sweeping his hand over his shoulder and held his hand out to Sarah. “See?” Sarah shivered, seeing blood painted over his palm. He swept the palm over his hand over his shirt and shook his head.

The nurse came over to Sarah with a shot. “, I have permission for the to give you this shot. It will help you rest for a bit, okay?” Sarah slowly nodded her head and the nurse stuck the needle in her arm. “You should be asleep in ten minutes.” She told Sarah, taking the needle out of her arm once the vaccine was finished being proceeded. She quickly got up from the bed and walked out of the room. Sarah looked at Gary and he kissed her forehead.

“Everything is going to be fine, Sarah. Now, rest, please.” Sarah nodded her head and closed her eyes. Soon, sleep consumed her.

Gary looked out the window and sighed. I hope she’ll be okay…
