It has been one week since Samara moved to Beverly Hills. Even though she doesn't enjoy the academy she is forced to attend, she does enjoy her new friends Layla and Jake. She never thought of having any friends because of she is. Even so, she can't get too close to them because of what she'll become in front of them. And that, she could not bore.
"Samara," Cynthia knocked on her door, "breakfast is ready for you." She said, walking away from the bedroom. Samara stood up from her bed and trudged over to the curtains. She pulled back the black curtains and winced at the bright sun. Her head turn towards the mirror and she looked at her reflection. Black bags were carved under her eyes and her hair were out of place. Locks of blonde hair was sticking out from its pigtails, resulting that she was rolling in her sleep again.
Samara went to her closet and pulled out one of her favorite black dresses. She slipped out of her gown and put on the dress. She tugged at the sleeves and pushed them up to her elbows. She tugged at the skirt that reached to her ankles and smoothed out the wrinkles. She went to her vanity and pulled out her pigtails. She ran the brush through her hair slowly as she watched herself in the mirror brushing her hair. She closed her eyes and started to think of younger siblings.
Her younger siblings are fraternal twins. The oldest was the little boy. His name is Tommy. He was so bright and positive that she couldn't believe he was her brother.
The youngest sister was named Natalie. She was shy and reserved that Samara believed Natalie was her mini-me.
Samara misses how she use to play with Tommy and Natalie. They used to run around the backyard playing tag or hide-and-go-seek. Little kid games like that they played all of the time. If Samara could, she would go play with her younger siblings one last time, but she can't. Her father hasn't contacted her like he promised he would. Because of this, Samara has lost all hope to ever see her younger siblings again.
Samara tied her hair back into two braids and slipped on her ankle-length boots. She went down the steps to the kitchen quietly. Cynthia was sitting at the table with Oliver, eating together.
Oliver sipped his coffee and looked over at Samara with a fatigued look. Samara peered her eyes at him but looked away before they both started to stare at one another. She stride over to the table and stood behind an empty chair. Oliver put down his coffee cup on the table and waved his hand at the empty chair.
"You may sit," he said before taking his cup to his lips and sipping at the hot coffee.
Samara pulled out the chair and sat down. She looked down at her plate and blinked. There were two strips of bacon, but they curve like a smile. The eggs yoke were above the bacon for the eyes. Samara twitch her eyes and looked at Cynthia with a what-are-you-thinking-look. Cynthia purse her lips up and patted Oliver's hand, indicating that is was his idea. Samara blinked, but picked up a piece of bacon and bite the end of it. Oliver and Cynthia didn't pay any attention towards Samara as they whispered into each other's ear. Samara felt disgusted at their constant flirting with each other and quickly ate her food. She patted her mouth with a napkin and looked over to Cynthia and Oliver. They were so close together it was like they were glue to one another.
"Thank you for the food," she quickly said and stood up from the table. Oliver looked at Samara with a smug look.
"You're welcome," He said, before turning back to kissing Cynthia's neck. Samara shivered and quickly strode out of the kitchen. She went to the front door and stepped outside. She raised her arms over her head and stretched.
"Hey, Samara!" Samara turned her head over to see Jake and Layla walking down the sidewalk. Samara walked over to them with a still disgusted look. Layla laughed at her.
"What is that look for? You look like you just seen the most horrifying thing in your life." Layla laughed as she nudged Samara with her elbow. Samara looked down at the happy go-lucky girl.
"But I have seen the most disgusting thing in my life," Samara explained, shivering a bit at the memory. Layla giggled and looked up at her.
"Then tell me, what was it?" She asked. She purse her lips to a mischievous grin. Samara turned her head over to Jake. He was leaning against the wall with his arms folded over his chest. His head was turned to the side and his black hair covered his bangs. He turned his head over to Samara with a grin. She returned the small smile back at him.
"Hey, Samara! Over here!" Layla punched Samara's arm softly. Samara turned her head back at Layla. She had a I-know-what-you-were-looking-at-look. Samara couldn't help but blush lightly. "So, Samara, tell me what happened this morning." She said, trying to divert her attention back to the original topic. Samara shivered again.
"You do not want to know," She said, rubbing her arms softly. Layla pouted at Samara.
"Purdy pweeze, with cherry on top?" She begged with an innocent. Samara rolled her eyes.
"No," she replied.
"Please," Layla begged again.
"Have you ever heard curiosity kills the cat?" Samara asked her. Layla giggled softly and flipped her red hair over her shoulder.
"Yes, but satisfaction brings that cat back to life!" Layla said with excitement in her voice, thinking she won the battle.
Samara blinked at Layla with a disbelief look. "Where in the world did you ever hear that?" She asked with a blink. Layla placed her finger over her pink lips and winked at her.
"That is only for me to know," She giggled. Samara rolled her eyes and looked over at Jake as he started to laugh. Layla giggled softly. Samara looked at the two like they were crazy, but started to laugh quietly as well. "You know what? It's beautiful Saturday morning and we all should go out and have some fun!" Layla clapped her together and jumped up and down.
"Sounds cool," Jake said with a grin. Layla looked over at Samara with a smile.
"What do you say, Samara? You want to go out?" Layla asked, looking up at her with a puppy dog look. Samara stepped back and looked down at her.
"Um... Sure." Samara replied. Layla jumped up again.
"Yeah! Now," Layla looked over Samara's dress, "Let Layla give you a Supper Duper Layla Make-Over!" Samara swallowed hard but nodded.
"O-okay," She said, kind of nervous to let Layla give her a make-over.
Layla took a hold of Samara's hand and pointed down the street where the city was at. "Onwards to Beverly Hills Mall!" The two girls began running down the sidewalk with Jake.
