This assignment was a sounds poem of sorts. We were supposed to write a poem that strongl features rhyme, meter, alliteration, and/or rhythm. As you can see, I went for alliteration. I don't know why I chose the "pr" sound... It was actually kind of difficult.

Waves on the prowl

Provoke and prod each other into frenzy,

Roaring in protest

As they collide with unshakable foes.

Each wave progressing toward the shore,

Predestined before their prime,

Cries out, We shall prevail!

Needing no protection

The waves proceed with pride

Probing every grain of sand

For precious hidden treasure.
