Cherry Blossoms Falling

Wind whipping through my hair-
Eyes open to the onslaught of sun-
Cherry blossoms fall from the trees.
The Earth is calling to my soul
Enveloping me with its haunting grasp.
Why do the cherry blossoms fall?
Does beauty always fade so fast?
When beauty's gone what is left?
Branches of the tree
Strong, but sore on the eyes.
Their form lasting while beauty-
Is but a passing glance.

I was looking at the journal that I originally wrote this in and it had cherry blossoms on and I found inspiration!
