Many people use DVD rippers. They use them for all sorts of reasons. Some include pirating. Others include pirating, pirating, pirating, oh and let’s not forget pirating.

DVD rippers are supposed to do one thing and one thing only. Copy the DVD onto your hard drive or a CD. Most do this very well, but I am here to review some generic DVD rippers. The DVD rippers I shall review are the paid ones and the free one. Grab some tea and sit back!

The free ones:

Finding a free DVD ripper can be like finding a small wart on your small toe. It's almost impossible unless you raid through Google. It's possible however. If you look for freeware someone will have it, but it's so loaded with, wear, and spy wear it's not even worth it. Some free ones, as they claim, will work at an unlimited rate. This, like my theory about apes being geniuses, is all made up. Most free DVD rippers will only do a five-minute snatch of the video, and then they ask you to buy the key! However, you get a FREE coupon! Yeah. When I want to get a free coupon, I can just steal one from my elderly neighbor.

The quality of these is so bad even my dog agreed with me

“Wow this is quite…”

“Ruff!” he interrupted me.

I do have to give it to free DVD rippers however, they give a perfect example of what not to get, what to avoid, and what to forget about when trying to find something that works! These DVD rippers aren't even talking about. Don’t even consider getting one.

The paid track:

If you’re serious about totally pirating movies then you want to get a DVD ripper that works. These, unfortunately, have to be bought. These usually are high quality and will let you rip the audio of a DVD into Mp3 so you can copy them to your iPod and or mp3 player, or just on your computer. This type of DVD ripper will make you love copying all kinds of movies.

The only thing I have to rant and rave about is the back of speed and looks. Some just look so clunky it looks like a kid made them. The menus are so cluttered you must actually move menus around to get to the one option that's hidden behind that menu! I have to tell you, that's the best programming I've ever seen in years.

Some of these won’t be very accessible to people with disabilities though, but the ones that are obviously get the higher download rate. That's because they're actually easy to use. Some you will notice after five seconds of using them will make you want to tear out your brain stem and chuck it at the wall. Some are so easy to use, usually the older ones, you can do it while sleeping, eating, or hiding your burnt DVD’s

I often think the prices are too high for comfort, but if they get the job done and don’t slack off or give false stories like those that my stove does, then you have a good run for your money. Make sure you get lots of reviews and or opinions before you go out and buy one, because like Brittany Spears, looks can be deceiving. In that case, you have to do your homework. Look for reviews and stop trying to find your name on Google. It won’t fly friend.

Most are worth being but be mindful about how good liar’s humans are. They can lure you into a false sense of security… if your dumb enough not do the homework that is. Some are overpriced but most get the job done. Some will better than others but it's a matter of personal opinion. Now, I'm off to pirate more movies!
