“A joke is a very serious thing.”

- Winston Churchill

---

You don’t talk to people who don’t get your sense of humor. Not that you’re a very funny person, you’re not, which isn’t to say you’re entirely unfunny, and it isn’t because humor means a lot to you, it doesn’t, it’s because people who get your humor get you. No altering how you act around those people, just simple acceptance.

You don’t have to train them to understand you, which is good, because you hate doing that.

There are a few exceptions to this; your sister doesn’t get your humor at all, but she gets you, and it’s the same with your best friend, but for the most part you just steer clear of people who don’t laugh at your jokes. It’s less effort that way, and you really don’t have that much energy anyway, so you stick with what’s simple.

You like simple.
