in a circle of trees,
with hushed breath, etched in moon's quiet fire and the faintest trace of poetry;
she dances.
cloaked in an ever shifting gauze of animal dreams and mortal dreams,
and obscured by the mysteries,
she sings.
about her, crickets chirr, lulled to a half-dream,
while above a star falls,
its glittering light tattooing her skin with delicate and unreadable runes.

a faint blush in the east,
and she pauses in mid-step,
at the misty door of dawn.
losing her meaning, a dream of herself;
she fades to blue, and then to grey,
she flees with the shadows,
disappearing the moment she is touched by the sun.
