AU: So, here we are again. Pretty sure I'm not going to continue 'Restless Momentum' as a series of one-shots. I know it's hard for me (I like things to be organized), but I'm just going to post one-shots as they are. Although that'll get weird because I write a ridiculous amount of one shots... Meh.

Here's one inspired by my trip back to Taiwan. Enjoy!

Music:

Let's Not... - Super Junior
(you MUST listen to this song. I don't care. find it, download it. I'll post a translation for the lyrics at the bottom!)

As Long As You Wait For Me - Passion
(amazing, amazing song. find Passion on YouTube and I swear you will not regret it. his voice is like an angel's! lyrics at the bottom.)

Sam.

“Come with me.”

She couldn’t help it. The want, the need for him was too much, and though she knew how impossible her request was, the words just slipped out. The past two months had been full of rediscovery and experiences that she knew she would never forget. A summer of, essentially, though she hated using the word unless she really meant it, love, a summer that contained more ups and downs than she’d ever had in such a short amount of time.

And it was all because of him.

And even though the two had agreed to let it go, at the end, at the airport, she just couldn’t. What was even worse was that his arms were around her too, and in his eyes, one could see that he didn’t want to either.

“Sam, we already agreed on this. We have to let go.” He nearly choked as he said the words, and the look on her face was one he had never wanted to see. That look of pain and vulnerability tore him to bits inside and his stomach churned.

“I know.” She rested her head on his chest as she’d done so many times before, not able to meet his gaze anymore. “I know, but that doesn’t stop me from asking.”

A dozen or so heartbeats later, he swallowed and took a deep breath.

“This summer was amazing. I… don’t know if you feel the same, but I won’t ever forget it.” Cue the trying to be tough. “And we’ll meet again! You’re bound to come back, right? After all, most of your family is here, and…” And I’m here, he wanted to say.

“But things won’t be the same!” she cried, moving back, not able to take his words or his feeble attempt at optimism anymore. “We keep changing! Who knows how much we’ll change when I leave and we don’t see each other for another ten years. Maybe one day, we won’t even recognize each other on the street.”

“That won’t happen,” he tried to say confidently. His arms fell to his sides as she tore away, stepping back, meeting his eyes, killing him on the inside.

“Won’t you just come with me?”

Frustration hit its high on his side too.

“What, buy a ticket and leave the country with you? Leave everything behind? My family? My friends?” He knew that she understood the ridiculousness of her offer, but the snap came too quick. “I’ve made my choice, Sam. I’m going to stick to it.”

Facing each other squarely, nearly a meter apart, they searched each other for the answer. Suddenly, she broke out her pen and a piece of paper, scribbling on it, but he turned away and lifted a hand to his eyes.

“No, Sam. You said it yourself. If it’s meant to be, it’ll happen. You made me promise not to take your phonenumber or your email, you made me promise not to accept your friend request on Facebook, you made me promise not to have any connection with you on the internet.”

His back was to her now. He couldn’t look at her, he was afraid that if he saw her face, and realize then that he might possibly never be with her again, he might start crying.

“You’re going to go so far, Sam. Farther than you can ever imagine.” And I’m still going to be here.

“I’m sorry.” Those two words, uttered by her weak and weary voice cut him, but he knew they had to be said. Though he wanted to turn around and hug her and make her miss her flight, though he wanted to tell her how much she needn’t be sorry, he knew he couldn’t. Not only would it hurt her, it would hurt him too. He needed to be strong and pull through for both of them.

He heard the scuffle of her feet, and he stole a glance. Her back was facing his too, but then, he saw her raised arm to her face. He knew immediately that she was crying, and his heart felt like it was being wrenched out, or wanted to escape from his body. He put his hand over it to try to calm its frantic beating, but nothing helped. She needed to leave before he handcuffed her to him and refused to let go until her flight left.

“Go, Sam.” He heard nothing. “Go!” he cried. He heard her feet, and a sniffle that escaped, and he felt his own eyes water.

“I’ll always be here, waiting for you, Sam.”

When she was for sure gone, he looked at his feet.

Always.

It wasn’t until she got on the plane and he got in his car that they realized how wrong the decision was. He looked up, and each plane he saw seemed to represent her. She looked down, and each car seemed to represent him.

Why had they been so stupid, in doing such an impulsive thing?

Worries flooded both their minds, but there was nothing that they could do at that point except to hope that one day, just maybe they'll meet again.

Translation of the song 'Let's Not...', by Super Junior - K.R.Y.

Saying that this moment is the last to you whom I loved so much
Even if you try to turn it back
Even if you hold onto me crying
I was the one who said no and bid our farewell

I always act strong
But I’m a cowardly man
Didn’t have the confidence to protect you forever and left

Don’t love someone like me again
Don’t make someone to miss again
One who looks at only you and needs only you
Meet someone who loves you so much
They can’t go a day without you
Please

Hurting, you try to hold me back
But I’m a cowardly man
Who doesn’t have the confidence to give happiness to anyone beside her

Don’t love someone like me again
Don’t make someone to miss again
One who looks at only you and needs only you
Meet someone who loves you so much
They can’t go a day without you

Even if we are ever to regret our breakup
I can’t do anything but give you our farewell

Don’t cry in pain
Counting the time that’s passed
Don’t miss a foolish love that’s already passed
One who looks at only you and needs only you
Meet someone who loves you so much
They can’t go a day without you

Please
I hope that you’ll be happy
Let’s never meet again

Lyrics for the song 'As Long As You Wait For Me' by Passion

Distance can determine so many things
From new love to wedding rings
From stay or say goodbyes
I've heard the stories of failure and glories
The warnings of ones who will never ever try again

But honey we'll make it
Yes we will
Although we're miles apart
I'll love you still

As long as you wait for me
Please save a space for me
Inside your arms, I know it's been long
But darling stay strong for me
Just as the edelweiss grows
So will our love also grow
I promise you that we'll make it through
As long as you wait for me

What do you guys think? Nice songs, nice-ish not really story. Second part?

I'm really into asian boy bands right now. Blame it on Taiwan.

:) thank you for reading.
