I can't believe this is the 55 poem I've posted xp I've noticed a recent lack of reviews, maybe I'm losing my touch. But I still like writing these poems, that's what important right? Anyway , for anyone that reads this I hope you like it, I hope it makes you feel... well I just hope it makes you feel something. That's the idea behind poetry isn't it? Writing down emotions, sharing them isn't necessary. But I like to think of poetry as something that connects the people longing to be understood and those willing to understand.

Beautiful words on a gloomy tune

The eery melody etched forever in their minds

Rays mindlessly playing upon her still face

It’s pallid colour screaming truth at your denial

Her features far from peaceful to your shattering eyes

Only the unnatural stillness of a stolen smile

.

Tears blur your vision as you reach out

Feverishly praying for another chance

For someone to say it was all a mistake

To wrap your arms around her and wait

Until her skin is flushed and eyes flutter open

Showing beautiful, blue orbs that shine with life

And a stuttered apology for causing you sorrow

.

But your trembling fingers glide along frozen skin

Burning you with tormenting truth

And your heart starts beating loudly

Reminding you of the unfairness of it all

And the shuddering shock of finality

.

Your mind taunts you with questions

Most you cannot answer, some you don’t understand

Such a shining life so suddenly faded away

The world still moving on, so blissfully unaware

And time an enemy that refuses to reverse

.

Still you inhale the air that sustains your life

With no other reason than your failure to stop

And you cry out in agony, silent and broken

Their lips creating words that do not reach you

Strangled by her accusing voice in the wind

And the eery melody in your mind
